ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed, invoking Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking orders, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner against the life threat perceived from the respondents 3 and 4 more particularly while removing bricks dumped by the respondents 3 and 4 in front of the petitioner's shop if the intent to obstruct the petitioner from opening the rental shop situated at No.87, South Masi Street, Madurai - 625 001, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 22.10.2024.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would submit that there existed landlord and tenant dispute between the parties; that the petitioner has given a compliant on 22.10.2024 and the same is pending for 2/4

enquiry in current paper and that he has filed the present application on 24.10.2024, while enquiry is pending.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the second respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner as well the private respondents and conduct enquiry and take a decision within a period of two days from today. (i.e., 28.10.2024)

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 28.10.2024 NCC :Yes/No Index :Yes/No Internet : Yes/ No das Note : Issue order copy on 28.10.2024.
