ORDER

The jurisdiction of this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been invoked by the petitioner stating that her application for issue of patta made on 17.10.2024 in respect of the house situate in Survey No.170/1 at Kooniyur Village, Seranmahadevi Taluk, Tirunelveli District has not been considered.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The petitioner, who has made the representation on 17.10.2024, has come to this Court on 23.10.2024 and has not given time to the respondents to even to look into her representation. The allegation that the respondents are not taking into consideration her representation cannot be countenanced. However, considering the fact that a statutory duty is caused upon the respondents to consider and pass orders on the

representation of the petitioner for issue of patta and taking into account the fact that the application has been moved as recently as on 17.10.2024, a mandamus is issued to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.10.2024 and issue patta to the petitioner within a period of seven months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
