PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 03.08.2023 regarding disbursement of the arrears of the refixation of pay in the cadre of Assistant Director of Social Welfare as 7th Pay Commission and to send revised pension proposals based on the fixation of pay in the cadre of Selection Grade Child Development Project Officer and refixation of pay in 1/5
the cadre of Assistant Director of Social Welfare as per 7th Pay Commission, within a specified time frame.

O R D E R
The present Writ Petition has been filed by a retired Assistant Director (Grants) in Social Defence Department, who attained superannuation on 31.05.2018 seeking a mandamus to direct the respondents to pass appropriate orders on his representation, dated 03.08.2023 regarding disbursement of the arrears of the refixation of pay in the cadre of Assistant Director of Social Welfare as per 7th Pay Commission and to send revised pension proposals of the Selection Grade revised pension proposals and refixed pay in the cadre of Assistant Director of Social Welfare as per the 7th Pay Commission.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the salary of the writ petitioner has been revised by an order of the Deputy Director (Special Scheme), dated 28.09.2022. However, the said order has not 2/5
been implemented and the amount has not been disbursed. He further contends that after fixation of her pay in the Selection Grade, the arrears have not been paid to her. That apart, the revised pension proposals as per the refixation, has also not been forwarded to the Accountant General, Chennai. The petitioner has sent a representation to the said effect on 03.08.2023 to the respondents herein. The said representation has, so far, not been considered.

Considering the above said facts, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.08.2023 in the light of the orders passed by the Deputy Director, Social Welfare (Special Scheme) dated 28.09.2022 and pass orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order
4. With the above said observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
