in all the writ petitions PRAYER in W.P(MD) Nos.26929 and 26930 of 2022: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned proceedings of the 1st respondent in C.No.1183528/NGB-2(1)/ 2021-1, dated 09.12.2021 and the impugned order of the 1st respondent in Rc.No. 1183528/NGB 2(1)/2021-5, dated 16.12.2021, and quash the same and direct the 1st respondent to give promotion to the appointees of TNPSC Combined Civil Services Examination - IV (Group IV) for the years 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 based on the marks secured by them in the recruitment examination.

PRAYER in W.P(MD) Nos.27040 and 27041 of 2022: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to prepare the panel of Junior Assistants / Typist eligible for promotion as Assistant as on 15.03.2022 by including the Junior Assistants / Typists appointed through TNPSC Combined Civil Service Examination - IV (Group IV) for the years 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 based on marks secured by them in the recruitment examination.

For R3 : Mr.J.Anandakumar Standing Counsel C O M M O N O R D E R These four Writ Petitions have been filed challenging the order passed by the first respondent dated 09.12.2021 and seeking a direction as against the first respondent to permit the writ petitioners on the basis of the merit rank assigned by TNPSC Combined Civil Services Examination - IV (Group IV) for the years 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioners, in view of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court reported in (2003) 5 Supreme Court Cases 604 (Bimlesh Tanwar vs-State of Haryana and others), the authorities have recalled the impugned proceedings and they have issued a fresh seniority list assigning rank based upon the merit rank assigned by the TNPSC. Therefore, nothing survives to be adjudicated in these writ petitions.

3. Recording the same, these Writ Petitions stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
