This Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the fifth respondent herein to scrutinize the petitioner's application 1/3
dated 25.03.2019, to register himself as a professional as per Part V, Rule 23(1) of the Tamil Nadu Combined Development and Building Rules'2019 within a stipulated time.
2. Upon notice the learned Special Government pleader has produced a letter No. jp3/1090/2019 dated 06.12.2019 issued by the Regional Development Officer, Kovilpatti stating that necessary and suitable action will be taken against the petitioner's application, after withdrawal of the election rules now in force. But it is relevant to state that the application has been pending from March 2019. It is unfortunate that for each of the relief, the people like petitioner is driven to this court to get an order. As the election is scheduled to be held on last week of December 2019, the fifth respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 25.03.2019 as early as possible, however such exercise shall not beyond 10.01.2020.
3. With the above direction, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
