ORDER
The writ petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to conduct survey of the property in S.No.9/4A, Chokkalingapuram Village, Melur Taluk, Madurai District, subdivide the same and issue separate patta in the name of the petitioner as well as in the name of the legal heirs to the extent of 22 cents based on the representation dated 14.09.2023.
2. The entire land is an agricultural land to an extent of 73 cents in Survey No.9/4A and joint patta was issued in Joint Patta No.1971. The petitioner himself admits that there are 12 beneficiaries in the aforesaid joint patta. While so, on what basis the petitioner is claiming separate patta to the extent of 22 cents is not explained by the petitioner.
3. As the petitioner is not able to establish his entitlement to the said extent of 22 cents out of the entire extent of 73 cents by documents, the request for separate patta in his name and in the names of the legal 2/4
heirs in my view cannot be entertained. I am therefore not inclined to grant the relief sought for. Hence I find no merits in this writ petition.
4. This Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
