The present Writ Petition has been filed by the son of the deceased employee seeking a Mandamus to grant appointment of compassionate basis by passing orders on his application on 04.08.2016.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, his father was working as a Librarian in the Government Headquarters Hospital, Dindigul, had passed away in tsunami on 26.12.2004. The petitioner has given a request for compassionate appointment on 23.08.2010, on attaining majority. The application was forwarded by the third respondent to the fourth respondent. However, the fourth respondent has not yet passed orders, hence the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
4. Considering the above said facts, the fourth respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, and pass orders based upon the seniority of the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
