ORDER

The petitioner is a Member of Hajrath Jalali Fakeer Tharvesh Alisha Mosque and with a grievance that election for the mosque has not been conducted for a long time, has made a representation on 08.05.2023 to the respondents requesting to conduct election for the mosque. Since there was no action on the said representation, the petitioner has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct election for the mosque.

2. Mr.S.A.Ajmalkhan, learned Standing Counsel for the Wakf Board, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that the 3rd 2/4

respondent is taking steps to conduct election for the mosque and the second respondent is also monitoring the same. Therefore, the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2023 would be considered within a period of eight weeks.

3. In view of the said submission, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2023 and take necessary steps for conducting election, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
