PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondents to give police protection for life and limb of the petitioner in enjoying his property in S.F.1118/1A, of Andankovil West Village, Manmangalam Taluk, Karur District on the basis of the representation dated 26.11.2019 made by the petitioner. ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondents to give police protection for life and limb of the petitioner in enjoying his property in S.F.1118/1A, of Andankovil West Village, Manmangalam Taluk, Karur District on the basis of the representation dated 26.11.2019 made by the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the owner of the property measuring 0.90 cents in S.F.No.1118/1A of Andankovil West Village, manmangalam Taluk, Karur District by means of registered sale deed dated 28.11.2019 and the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of the aforesaid property. He would also submit that one Mothilal also filed a civil suit in O.S.No. 373 of 2012 against the petitioner for permanent injunction and the said suit was also dismissed. Further the petitioner also filed civil suit and the same was also dismissed. Thereafter the petitioner has given complaint to the respondent police, since the respondent police has not taken steps, he has filed the present petition for police protection.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that on the complaint given by the petitioner proceedings in CSR No. 603 of 2019 was initiated and proper enquiry will be conducted and based on the outcome of the enquiry adequate police protection will be given to the petitioner if necessary.

4. Recording the same, the Criminal Original petition is closed.
