PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, directing the respondent police to forthwith file the final report in FIR in Crime no.518/2021 on the file of the respondent police dated.11/10/2021 registered u/s 307 of IPC and Sec.4 of TNPHW Act,2002 within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER

This petition is filed seeking direction to the respondent police to file the final report in FIR in Crime No.518 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police dated 11.10.2021 registered for the offences under Section 307 of IPC and Section 4 of TNPHW Act,2002. 2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in this case. On the basis of the complaint given by him a case in Crime No. 518 of 2021 is registered for the offences punishable under Section 307 of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2022, against the accused persons. The grievance of the petitioner is that so far no progress has been made.

3.A report has been called for from the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Trichy, as to the stage of the final report stated to be filed on 09.02.2022 in this case. A report has been received from the concerned Court, stating that the said final report stated to be filed before the Additional Mahila Court, Trichy. Due to some defects, it was not taken on file.

4.In view of the report, there shall be a direction to the committal Court, to process the final report, within the time stipulated as per Rules. 5.With the above directions, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
