PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to disburse the petitioners difference amount of salary from 01.01.2016 to 30.11.2017 gratuity, Earned Leave and surrender leave salary along with 6% interest on the basis of VIIth Pay Commission and pass such further or other orders as this Court. ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent transport corporation, seeking a mandamus to disburse the difference in salary from 01.01.2016 to 30.11.2017, gratuity, earned leave and surrender leave along with 6% interest on the basis of VII Pay Commission. 2.According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, all his benefits have been released only based upon the VI Pay Commission and the benefits arising out of VII Pay Commission have not been conferred upon him. The petitioner has sent a representation on 26.09.2024 seeking the above said benefits. Since there is no response, the instant writ petition has been filed. 3.Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to release the eligible benefits to the writ petitioner along with 6% interest from the due date till the date of disbursement within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
