The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to proceed further pursuant to the proceedings dated 10.10.2024 in Na.Ka.No.8476/2024/A4.

2. Heard Mr.R.G.Shankar Ganesh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Subbaraj, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent.

A reading of the report dated 10.10.2024 indicates that the case of the petitioner has been accepted by the respondent herein and also indicates that the report from the Regional Stapathy had been called for, for further proceedings in the issue. The said communication of the respondent is dated 10.10.2024.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent has also placed on record a complaint filed by the Executive Officer of Arulmigu Moongilanai Kamatchi Amman temple, Devathanapatti, as against three individual persons in respect of the very same issue raised by the petitioner.

5. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that no action has been initiated by the Station Officer of the Devathanapatti Police Station.

6. Considering the report of the respondent dated 10.10.2024, I am inclined to direct the respondent to proceed further by expediting the process. He shall insist upon the Regional Stapathy to file a report within a period of two 2/4

weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and proceed further pursuant to the findings in the said report. Since the Station Officer of Devathanapatti Police Station has not proceeded any further based on the complaint given by the Executive Officer of Arulmigu Moongilanai Kamatchi Amman Temple, this Court is also inclined to direct the Superintendent of Police, Theni District to direct the Station Officer, Devathanapatti Police Station to forthwith proceed with the complaint made by the Executive Officer as expeditiously possible.

7. In view of the aforesaid reason, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
