India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents no.1 to 4 to cancel the patta no. 3315 issued infavour of respondents no.5 to 7 in connection with property comprised in Survey No. 381/2 to an extent of 0.32.00 Hectares, situated at Uthumalai Revenue Village, Veerakeralam Pudur Taluk, Tenkasi District and restore the same, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 25.07.2025. O R D E R

After submitting a representation dated 25.07.2025 seeking cancellation of the patta issued to the respondents 5 to 7, the present Writ petition has been filed seeking the disposal thereof within a reasonable time limit.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that patta No. 3315 was granted erroneously to the private respondents on the basis of the forged documents. Therefore, he submits that the petitioner had applied for cancellation of such patta, but that such request has not been acted upon.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the 2/5

respondents 1 to 4 and submits that the request for cancellation of patta would be considered and disposed of by the third respondent after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the private respondents.

4. Patta No.3315 stands in the names of respondents 5 to 7. Therefore, it is just and reasonable that such respondents be heard before any decision is taken on the petitioner's request for cancellation. This Writ Petition is being disposed of subject to this direction and, therefore, notice to the private respondents is being dispensed with.

5. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's request for cancellation of patta No.3315 after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and respondents 5 to 7. The petitioner's request shall be disposed of within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
