By asserting that patta No.5224 was erroneously granted exclusively in the name of respondents 5 and 6, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 12.03.2025 for cancellation thereof. By this Writ Petition, the petitioner seeks directions related thereto.

2. Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for respondents 1 to 4. He submits that the petitioner's application for cancellation would be considered and disposed of within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The petitioner has placed on record the legal heirship certificate issued by the Tahsildar in respect of late Subbiah Thevar. The document records the names of the five legal heirs, including the petitioner and the respondents 5 and 6. In the circumstances, it is just and necessary that the 2/5

petitioner's representation be considered and disposed of on merits after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and the private respondents. Since the private respondents are directed to be heard before a decision is taken, this Writ Petition is disposed of without notice to them.

4. Accordingly, the second respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation dated 12.03.2025 after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, the fifth and sixth respondents and other legal heirs of the late Subbiah Thevar. The representation shall be disposed of within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
