PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to pass an order of direction, directing V Additional District and Sessions Judge, Madurai to expedite the trial proceeding in connection with S.C. O RDER This petition is filed seeking direction to the learned V Additional District and Sessions Judge, Madurai to expedite the trial proceeding in connection with S.C. No.34 of 2022.
2.The grievance of the petitioner is that inspite of the order passed by this Court dated 13.12.2022 in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.21950 of 2022, trial has not commenced so far.
3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the case is posted for appearance of the accused on 05.12.2023. 4.Considering the oldness of the crime, the learned V Additional District and Sessions Judge, Madurai is directed to complete the trial and dispose of the case in S.C.No.34 of 2022 within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
