consequently for a direction, directing the respondents 1 & 2 to appoint the petitioner in the post of Special Teacher (Sewing) under MBC (Women) (PSTM) category on the basis of the total marks secured by the petitioner in the vacancies which are not filled for want of candidates in S.No.198, S.No.219 to 221 in School Education Department or in S.No.16, S.No.17 in Social Defence Department within the time period stipulated by this Court. Learned Standing Counsel for the respondent / Teachers Recruitment Board has placed on record the instructions received by him dated 17.09.2025 from the District Revenue Officer, Teachers Recruitment Board, Chennai - 600 006. He would submit that subsequent to the filing of this Writ Petition, direct recruitment for the post of Special Teacher [Sewing] has attained finality, by way of publication of the revised provisional selection list on 20.03.2025. 2/5

Learned Standing Counsel would also submit that in view of the same, since the petitioner has not challenged the revised provisional selection list dated 20.03.2025, this Writ Petition has now become infructuous.

2.Learned Counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty for the petitioner to challenge the revised provisional selection list dated 20.03.2025, for the post of Special Teacher [Sewing], in the manner known to the petitioner under law.

3.In view of the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, by granting liberty to the petitioner as prayed for. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
