PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to accord prior permission to fill up the post of the Headmaster of the Suyambulingam Higher Secondary School, Puliyangud, fell vacant from 31.05.2022 due to superannuation of one Mr.T.S.Mariappan and release the grant in aid to the School by considering the petitioner proposal dated 31.08.2022 and reminder representation dated 23.09.2024 and pass orders within a time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

The instant writ petition has been filed by the Management of an Aided non Minority Institution, seeking a Mandamus as against the third respondent herein to grant prior permission for filling up the post of Headmaster.

2. The petitioner School Management has sent a proposal on 31.08.2022, seeking prior permission. Since no orders have been passed for the past two years, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/5

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. Considering the above said facts, the third respondent herein is directed to consider the proposal submitted by the petitioner Management and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if no orders have been passed in the meantime.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
