O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition had been filed to direct the Respondents 1 to 3 to give police protection to the Petitioners' life and limb. 2.It is the contention of the learned Counsel for the Petitioner that the Petitioner was originally married to the fourth Respondent. Subsequently, due to the difference of opinion in the matrimonial relationship, they separated. The Petitioner subsequently married an actor by name Rajkiran. During the course of the matrimonial life with the fourth Respondent, the Petitioner had a daughter, the fifth Respondent herein. The fifth Respondent was brought up by the Petitioner along with her second husband, who is the stepfather for the fifth Respondent. She is married to a serial actor. 3.Now the fifth Respondent/the daughter of the Petitioner in collusion with the fourth Respondent is threatening the Petitioner through whatsapp messages directing her to send amount to the Respondents 4 and 5 as 2/6

demanded by the fourth Respondent from the second husband of the Petitioner, who is now an actor. It is nothing but a torture and blackmail. Therefore, the Petitioner had approached this Court seeking direction against the Respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to her life and limb.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the Respondents 1 to 3 invited the attention of this Court to the contents of the complaint preferred by the Petitioner, copy of which is enclosed along with the typed set of papers. He would submit that as per the complaint of the Petitioner, it is a family dispute between the Petitioner, her estranged husband and their daughter, for which there cannot be any direction from this Court. He would further submit that the daughter of the Petitioner is settled in Coimbatore. While so, this petition had been filed as though she is in Thuraiyoor. 5.It is the further contention of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the Petitioner herself is residing at Chennai. Therefore, she has to approach the Court in Chennai and cannot approach this Court for any relief.

6.Considering the submission of the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the Respondents 1 to 3, the Petitioner is directed to seek relief from the Courts at Chennai, as this Court cannot pass any orders when the daughter of the Petitioner or the Petitioner are not residing within the jurisdiction of this Court. The complaint received by the Respondents 1 to 3 herein is directed to be forwarded to the Officials concerned at Chennai. 7.With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
