O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for his land in S.F.No.405/6 to an extent of 4320 square feet at nearby 10 cents in the Kothaimangalam village, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District by considering petitioner's representation, dated 10.07.2024.

2. The petitioner purchased the said property on 28.09.2005 vide sale deed in Document No.38/1992. The petitioner thereafter constructed the house and shops in the said property by obtaining necessary building approvals from the Panchayat. The petitioner is in enjoyment and possession of the said property by paying necessary property tax and also electricity bills. The said property is in natham land. Though the petitioner purchased the property in the year 2005, patta was not issued for the same. Therefore, the petitioner applied for patta before the second respondent along with the copy of the registered sale deed and house tax receipts. On 14.06.2023, the petitioner's application was forwarded by the survey department and thereafter no action was taken on the 2/5

petitioner's application. Therefore, the petitioner on 10.07.2024 sent an application seeking patta along with necessary documents, sale deed etc., As the respondents did not pass any orders, the petitioner filed the writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

3. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the enquiry proceedings were in progress and appropriate orders would be passed on completion of enquiry.

4. Considering that the enquiry proceedings have already been initiated, the respondents are directed to complete the enquiry and pass final orders on the application for grant of patta on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
