ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The prayer in the writ petition is that status quo should be maintained till the disposal of A.S.No.16 of 2020 on the file of Sub Court, Tuticorin.

3.The Hon'ble Supreme Court in the decision reported in AIR 1952 SC 12 (State of Orissa Vs. Madan Gopal Rungta) had held that the final relief sought for in a writ petition cannot be in the nature of interim relief.

4.In view of the authoritative pronouncement, I have to hold that the writ prayer is not maintainable. The petitioner has to workout his rights in the pending suit. The writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. 04.11.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No 3/6
