ORDER

Heard Mr.S.Sivakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

2.This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to grant permission to conduct Markali Thirupalli Eluchi Poojai, Kuthuvilakku Poojai, Annadhanam, Anandha Vinayagar Procession at Narikudi Chatram Anna Dhana Maruthu Vinayagar and Dharma Devathai Temple situated at Narikudi, based on the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2019. 3.In the affidavit, it has been stated that during the month of Markali, Poojas Festival of Sri Anna Dhana Maruthu Vinayagar and Dharma Devathai Temple situated at Narikudi, shall be conducted by the petitioner's village people. It is further stated that the said Poojas Festival has been conducted peacefully and this year also the said Poojas Festival especially, Markali Month Thirupalli Eluchi, Kuthuvilakku Poojai, Annadhanam and other https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.26506 of 2019 rituals and also Anandha Vinayagar Procession in Vinayagar Chathurthi days will be conducted in a peaceful manner. Therefore, the petitioner has made a representation on 18.11.2019, to the respondent for conducting the Poojas Festival. Since the said representation has not been considered so far, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition for the aforesaid relief. 4.The learned Government Advocate states that the respondent will consider the claim of the petitioner in accordance with law and dispose of the same within the time stipulated by this Court.

5. In such view of the matter, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.11.2019 on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
