O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3, to issue joint patta in favour of the petitioner for the property, to an extent of Acres 0.06.17 cents in the total extent of 0.02.50 Acres at Karaiyur Villlage, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 20.08.2019.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

3. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 20.08.2019 to the respondents 1 and 2 seeking issuance of joint patta in favour of the petitioner pertaining to the properties referred to above. However, no action has been taken on the said representation. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Learned Government Advocate, appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3, submits that the petitioner's representation would be 2/5

considered on merits and in accordance with law.

5. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent/Tahsildar to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.08.2019 on merits and in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry. The second respondent is further directed to afford a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, the respondents 4 and 5 and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry.
