PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent i.e., the Director of Tribal Welfare, Chennai to forward the proposals received from the District Adi Dravidar Welfare Officer, Dindigul in his Letter No.3569/2021/H6, dated 24.02.2021 to the first respondent i.e., the Secretary to Government, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, Chennai, may be directed to pass appropriate orders for sanction of incentive 1/4

O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed by the Headmaster in the Government Tribal Residential Primary School, Manchalparappu, Aathur Taluk, Dindigul District seeking a mandamus to grant incentive increments on the ground that he has acquired B.Ed qualification on 26.05.2019.

2. The petitioner has further submitted that the papers have been forwarded by the third respondent to the second respondent and the second respondent forwarded the papers to the first respondent. As on today, the files relating to grant of incentive increments of the writ petitioner is pending before the first respondent herein.

3. Heard the learned counsel Appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 2/4

In view of the above said facts, the first respondent herein is directed to pass orders on the basis of the representations given by the writ petitioner on 18.01.2023 and on 10.07.2023 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of to the above said terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
