Criminal Original Petition filed under section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to withdraw the case in Spl.SC.No.33 of 2019 from the learned PCR/Mahila Court, Pudukottai and transfer the same to some other competent District Court.

O R D E R

This petition is filed seeking transfer the case in Spl.SC.No.33 of 2019 from the learned PCR/Mahila Court, Pudukottai, to some other competent District Court.

2.This petition came to be filed on the ground that the petitioner has faced life threat in the premises of the Trial Court. It was committed by the accused with an intention to prevent the petitioner from attending the Court. The petitioner is aged about 70 years.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner made a request before this Court that a direction may be given to the trial Court to expedite the trial and complete the same within a stipulated time prescribed by this Court.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.18621 of 2019 4.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and considering the oldness of the matter, since the crime is of the year 2014, there shall be a direction to the PCR/Mahila Court, Pudukkottai, to expedite the trial and complete the same within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
