This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to grant permission and police protection for conducting Kabadi Tournament scheduled to be held on 30.12.2022, 31.12.2022 and 01.01.2023 in the name of Thennavar Kabadi club at Government Adhi Dravida Welfare Boys Higher Secondary School Groud, Kattur, Trichy District based on the Petitioner's representation, dated 21.11.2022.

2. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) objects to conduct the Kabadi Tournament on 01.01.2023, stating that the Police force will be engaged in bandobust duty due to new year eve celebrations. Further, he states that the dates may be altered by the Petitioner.

3. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the District Adi Dravida Welfare Officer had already granted permission to conduct the Kabadi Tournament from 30.12.2022 to 01.01.2023. 2/5

However, he undertakes to file a fresh representation with the altered dates i.e., from 28.12.2022 to 30.12.2022 before the officer concerned.

4. Considering the statement of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), the Petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the District Adi Dravida Welfare Officer concerned with altered dates i.e., from 28.12.2022 to 30.12.2022 and the same shall be considered.
