PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to issue a direction directing the respondents 1 & 2 to give adequate Police Protection for the life and limb of the petitioner based on his written representation dated 13.09.2023 and 19.09.2023. O RDER This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to give adequate Police Protection for the life and limb of the petitioner based on his written representation dated 13.09.2023 and 19.09.2023. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by this petitioner, enquiry is undertaken. During the course of enquiry, it was found that land dispute exists between the parties namely this petitioner and one defacto complainant on one side and one Santhi and samathuvan on other side. Complaint is registered in C.S.R.No.471 of 2023.

3.Apprehending breach of peace, because of dispute between both sides LIRNo.22 of 2023 is registered and forwarded to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Melur, now it is stated to be pending.

4.In view of the above said recommendation made by the Sub Inspector of Police, parties shall appear before the concerned authority and workout their 2/4

remedy there itself. Depending upon the outcome of the enquiry before the Revenue Divisional Officer, the parties can workout their remedy through appropriate proceedings, if so aggrieved. There is no question of police protection at this stage.

5.Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands disposed of with the above said directions.
