2. The petitioner wants this Court to direct the authorities to declare the petition mentioned Course conducted by Bharathidasan University as equivalent to M.Sc., Geography. However, the said request was rejected vide G.O(Ms)No.186 Higher Education (K1) Department dated 15.12.2020. It is well settled that in matters regarding equivalence, the Government is the 2/4

competent authority. It is not for this Court to give any declaration regarding equivalence of degrees. Leaving open the petitioner to question the said Government Order, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
