ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to quash the proceedings in S.T.C.No.734 of 2022 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District. 1/4

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that he restricts his prayer only with regard to dispense the personal appearance of the petitioners before the Trial Court and made a request before this Court to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District, to expedite the trial and complete the same within a time stipulated by this Court.

3.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitionera, the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District, is directed to expedite the trial in S.T.C.No.734 of 2022 and complete the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.The personal appearance of the petitioners is dispensed with before the trial Court with the following conditions:- i) The personal appearance of the petitioners is dispensed with except for their appearance for the purpose of receiving the copy of the proceedings u/s 207 Cr.P.C., framing of charges, questioning under Section 313 Cr.P.C. and on the day on which judgment is to be pronounced. 2/4

However, if for any particular reason, the presence of the petitioners are necessary, the trial court, at its wisdom, shall direct their appearance on those days.

5.With the above directions, these Criminal Petitions are disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 24.04.2024 NCC : Yes/No Internet:Yes Index:Yes/No Speaking order/Non-Speaking order dss To The Judicial Magistrate Court, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram District.
