PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi to complete the trial in C.C.No. 1622 of 2022 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi, within the time limit fixed by this Court.

O RDER The criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi to complete the trial in C.C.No.1622 of 2022 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi, within the time limit fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioners are facing trial before the trial Court in C.C.No.1622 of 2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 324, 506(ii) and 341 of IPC in Crime No.40 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police. The grievance of the petitioners is that because of the pendency of the criminal case they are not in position to attend the job in their company. Also they are in need to produce a certificate showing that no criminal case is pending against them. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the case was posted for examination of witnesses on 14.11.2023. 4.In view of the submissions made on either side there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi, to expedite the trial process pending 2/4

on his file in C.C.No.1622 of 2022 and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
