PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.376/2022 on the file of the respondent police. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 1/3

23.01.2023 for the alleged offence punishable under Section 328 of IPC and Section 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(c) and 29(1) of NDPS Act, 1985 in Crime No.376 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that when the police party conducted vehicle check up, they intercepted the vehicle bearing Reg.No.TN 92 F 1670 and on search, they found 50 bundles each containing 2kgs of ganga and they have purchased the said ganja from Andhrapradesh and also planned to sell them for profit. Hence the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case a direction may be issued to the trial Court to dispose the case.

4. In view of the same, the Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed with a direction to the trial Court to complete the trial proceedings in Crime No.376 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
