This petition is filed seeking direction to the respondent to conduct further investigation on FIR No.364 of 2023 registered on the file of the respondent and find out the daughter of the petitioner. 1/4

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's daughter eloped with one Natchimuthu. Thereafter, the petitioner lodged a complaint and the same was registered in FIR No.364 of 2023, dated 16.09.2023 by the respondent Police as Women Missing. Since no further action has been taken, the present petition came to be filed.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that in pursuance of the case in Crime No.364 of 2023, search was made and it came to know that the daughter of the petitioner namely Kavitha appeared before the Inspector of Police, Avadi, Chennai, and gave a statement that she was in love with One Nathcimuthu S/O. Mathuraiveeran, belongs to the very same village. The marriage was performed on 16.09.2023 without knowledge and consent of the parents. Seeking Police protection, she approached the Inspector of Police, Avadi, Chennai.

4.In view of the above said development, nothing survives for further consideration in this matter. The respondent is directed to close the Fir in Crime No.364 of 2023, based on the above said development. The petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy through appropriate proceedings.

5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
