Heard Mr. R.Anand, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. S.R.Ramachandran, Learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the Respondents, and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

This Writ Petition has been filed for directing the Respondents to allow the petitioner to function as a President of Village Forest Committee, Vavanagaram Village Forest Committee, Social Forest Range, Tenkasi, Tenkasi District, until his completion of tenure i.e., till 18.11.2023. 3.

Learned Additional Government Pleader has filed a memo dated 21.12.2022 stating as follows:- 2/5

The Respondents submitted that there is no action has been taken to remove the Petitioner from the post of President, Village Forest Committee by the Respondents as averred by the Petitioner in affidavit filed in support of the Writ Petition. Moreover, the Respondents has no power to remove the President in their individual capacity, only the Committee has to take action if any by conducting the General Body as per the Rules."

In such circumstances, nothing remains for consideration in the Writ Petition and the Writ Petition is disposed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
