2. It is not in dispute that survey No.270/1 Kottangulam Village is a patta land. The respondents cannot lay any road on the petitioner's patta land. If they want to do so, they have to acquire the same in the manner known to law. If any road has been laid in survey No.270/1, compensation has to be paid to the petitioner. With this observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
