Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent herein to permit petitioner to conduct the Sri Adaikalam Kaththar Iyyanar Temple festival on 21.10.2023 and 22.10.2023 situated at Kadukkakadu Post, Karambakudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 09.10.2023. Heard both sides.

2. The issue pertains to conducting of the petition mentioned festival on 07th and 08th of November, 2023. There is some dispute between the petitioner on the one hand and the private respondent on the other.

3. I wanted to know from the petitioner's counsel that if the petitioner is insisting that he should conduct the festival or he only wants the festival to be conducted.

4. The petitioner through his counsel fairly stated that he is not interested in projecting himself and that he only wants the festival to be conducted.

5. The learned counsel appearing for the private respondents states that they would organize the festival on 07th and 08th of November, 2023.

6. Recording the above said submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of.

7. If the fourth respondent Police received any information that some cognizable offence has been committed, the respondent Police shall then register an F.I.R and take an appropriate action. No costs. 03.11.2023 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No tsg 3/4
