PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to issue a direction to transfer the investigation to the fourth respondent office for conducting fair and impartial investigation in Crime No.170 of 2021 on the file of the third respondent within a stipulated time.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that 85 years old lady died in a suspicious manner, therefore the petitioner lodged a complaint before the third respondent police and the same was 2/5
registered in Crime No.170 of 2021 and thereafter, prover investigation has not been conducted. Hence, the present petition has been filed.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submits that during the pendency of this petition, the investigation has been completed and the final report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate-II, Kovilpatti, as further action was dropped.
4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
