Respondents PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to call for the records in Crime No.80 of 2019, on the file of the fourth respondent herein and further more direct to be transferred from the fourth and sixth respondents police to the independent investigation agencies, i.e., 1/3

the 7th or 8th respondents.

O R D E R

This Petition has been filed to call for the records in Crime No.80 of 2019, on the file of the fourth respondent herein and further more direct to be transferred from the fourth and sixth respondents police to the independent investigation agencies, i.e., the 7th or 8th respondents.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's vehicle was not involved in the said accident, which can be proved through verification of CCTV footage recorded from the Indian Bank, Melakarai Branch and also from the Indian Hotel, which was nearby the scene of occurrence whereas the respondent police have implicated the petitioner's vehicle in the incident which happend on 14.11.2019.

3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) would submit that investigation is under progress and the respondent police is conducting investigation in a proper manner.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. However, the respondent is directed to take into consideration the CCTV footage recorded from Indian Bank, Melakarai Branch and also from the Indian Hotel during the relevant period. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur is directed to monitor the investigation done by the fourth respondent.
