PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents herein to take necessary action against the 4th respondent on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 22.11.2022 and further consequently direct the 2nd and 3rd respondents herein to close the illegal liquor business carried by the 4th respondent in the premises comprised in Survey No.7/5, F-1, Block No.1, Ward No.C, nearby Grace A.G.Church, Kalappakkadu, Aranthangi, Pudukkottai District within the time stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents herein to take necessary action against the 4th respondent, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 22.11.2022 and for a consequential direction to the respondents 2 and 3 herein to close the illegal liquor business carried by the 4th respondent, in the premises comprised in
Survey No.7/5, F-1, Block No.1, Ward No.C, nearby Grace A.G.Church, Kalappakkadu, Aranthangi, Pudukkottai District, within a time frame.
2. Heard Mr.K.Rajesh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3. Considering the nature of the order proposed to be passed in this Writ Petition, notice to the fourth respondent is dispensed with.
3. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
4. It is the claim of the petitioner that the fourth respondent is running a liquor shop illegally in the aforesaid survey number and due to which, there is lot of nuisance is caused. In this regard, though the petitioner made a representation on 22.11.2022 to the respondents, seeking to take action against him, no steps have been taken by the respondents to stop the said illegal business. Hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.
5. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 22.11.2022 would be considered by the official respondents and appropriate action will be taken within a time frame, for which, the learned counsel for the petitioner is agreeable.
6. Recording the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the authorities concerned to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 22.11.2022 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
