ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a Senior Tradesman, who attained superannuation on 31.08.2022 seeking a Mandamus to pay interest for the belated disbursal of the terminal benefits.

2. According to the petitioner, the terminal benefits were released only on 05.06.2023, though he had retired in August 2022.

3. Considering the above said facts, the second respondent herein is directed to pay interest at the rate of 6% per annum from 01.09.2022 till 05.06.2023, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above said observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
