This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the third respondent to take appropriate action for cancellation of the patta No. 2572 dated 12.09.2002 and further direct the 3rd respondent issue a patta in the name of the petitioner on the basis of petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2023.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered and disposed of by the third respondent, in accordance with law, within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent/ Tahsildar to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.03.2023 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Such representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry, affording a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, respondents 4 to 8 and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry. In the event of any issues pertaining to land disputes, the parties shall approach the competent civil court. There shall be no order as to costs.
