The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondents 5 and 6 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members life and limb of the basis of the representation given by the petitioner on 05.12.2019 and 09.12.2019 respectively.

Crl.O.P.(MD).No.18714 of 2019 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the direction issued by the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Madurai, under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C., a case has been registered by the fifth respondent against the respondents 7 to 9 in Crime No.37 of 2019 for the offences under Sections 120(b), 406, 420 and 506(i) of IPC. He would further submit that since the respondents 7 to 9 are arrayed as accused, the fifth respondent is taking steps to secure them and that they are not available in their residence. However, if it is found that the petitioner has been threatened by the respondents 7 to 9, the fifth respondent shall take appropriate action in an effective manner. 3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this criminal original petition is closed.
