PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records in Na.Ka.No.22828/L3/2022-2 dated 16.12.2022 on the file of the 2nd respondent Commissioner of Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare, Chennai, and quash the same as illegal, ultravires, without jurisdiction and unconstitutional and consequently direct the 1st respondent to regularize petitioner as Assistant Director of Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare and keep petitioner at par with the other Assistant Directors who jointed along with her and got regularized as scheduled in the regularized panel (from the prepared temporary panel for the year 2015-2016. This petitioner is working as an Assistant Director in the Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare Department, as per the approved temporary promotion panel, vide G.O.Ms.(D) No.338, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department (FS2), dated 2/6
13.10.2016. When the petitioner was incharge of the post of Project Officer, Ramanathapuram, Nagercoil, Nagapattinam and Chennai, she was issued with a charge memo on certain allegations, vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.22828/L3/2022-2 dated 16.12.2022. Challenging the charge memo, the petitioner has filed this writ petition in the year 2023.
2.Today(07.01.2026), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the disciplinary proceedings initiated as against this petitioner has been dropped by the orders of the Commissioner, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare Department in Na.Ka.No.22828/L3/2022, dated 14.02.2025. The proceedings, dropping the disciplinary proceedings is also placed before this Court. He further submits that pursuant to the dropping of the disciplinary proceedings, this petitioner's name has also been added in the permanent promotion panel for the post of Assistant Director of Fisheries.

3.In view of the subsequent development and recording the proceedings of the Commissioner, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare Department dated 14.02.2025, this writ petition is closed with a direction to the respondents to ensure that all the benefits due to this petitioner are provided to her.
