Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to grant Parole/ordinary leave for a period of 4 days from 14.12.2019 to 17.12.2019 to the petitioner's brother Mani @ Manimaran, s/o.Rasuservai (Convict Prisoner) for attending their mother's 1st year obituary ceremony based on the representation dated 05.12.2019. This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to grant Parole/ordinary leave for a period of 4 days from 14.12.2019 to 17.12.2019 to the petitioner's brother Mani @ Manimaran, S/o.Rasuservai (Convict Prisoner) for attending their mother's 1st year obituary ceremony based on his representation dated 05.12.2019.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) would submit that the petitioner is facing trial in S.C.No.612/2018, which is now pending on the file of the Sessions Court, Mahalir Neethimandram, Madurai. As per Rule 35 of the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982, the petitioner is not entitled for parole/ordinary leave, thereby the petitioner's representation has been rejected by an order dated 06.12.2019 in No.21889/jF2/2019.

3.Recording the same, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
