ORDER

The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to grant permission and Police protection for conducting Kabadi Tournament scheduled to be held on 22.10.2023 in Jakkamma Kovil Ground at Kaadaneri Village, Watrap Taluk, Virudhunagar District, on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 07.10.2023, 14.10.2023.

2. Mr.R.M.Anbunithi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner has been seeking permission to conduct the tournament to be held on 22.10.2023 from 6.00 a.m., to 8.00 p.m. He would further submit that they are ready to give permission as well as to provide protection in pursuant of the representation that is made by the petitioner and there is no other issue with regard to conduct the above said Kabadi tournament. 2/4

4. In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, let the above said representation be disposed of by following the circular issued by the the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai in Rc.007301/Genl.I (1)/2019 dated 09.04.2019.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
