PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the Judicial Magistrate, Pattukottai to expedite the trial in C.C. No.292 of 2018 and complete the same within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today (ie.,20.10.2023), the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the trial commenced and 11 witnesses have been examined in this case. 3.Considering the oldness of the crime, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pattukottai is directed to complete the trial and dispose of the case in C.C.No.292 of 2018 within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
