O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent Police not to harass the petitioner herein.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even though the petitioner is facing trial in C.C.No.20 of 2017 before the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kumbakonam, all the witnesses turned hostile, but frequent harassment is made by the respondent Police against the petitioner.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the petitioner is involved in 23 previous cases, among which, most of the cases are for theft, robbery, etc. Since, he is a history sheeted person, he is kept under surveillance. Except that there is no harassment made by the respondent Police. 2/4

4. In view of the antecedent of the petitioner, he is not entitled for any discretionary relief from this Court. Hence, this petition deserves dismissal and accordingly dismissed.
