Heard both sides.
2. It is submitted by the respondents that the petitioners are licensees occupying the shops belonging to the local body. The license period has expired already. The Bus stand is also in a dilapidated condition. The respondents propose to demolish the bus stand and build a new bus stand. It is firmly asserted that the demolition and construction work will happen immediately after the petitioners hand over possession. 3/5
It is also stated that new bus stand will be constructed within a period of one year thereafter.
3. Recording the stand of the respondents, the petitioners are given time till 31.01.2024 to vacate. It is made clear that on 01.02.2024, the respondents are entitled to take possession without any further notice.
4. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
