ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a retired Selection Grade Conductor of the respondent Corporation seeking a Mandamus to pay 6% interest for the belated payment of the terminal benefits.

2. The petitioner had retired on 31.07.2018 and his terminal benefits were released only on 24.09.2019. The petitioner has sent a representation on 03.10.2023 seeking interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits.

3. In view of the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.10.2023 and pay 6% interest from the date of his retirement till the date on which the terminal benefits were paid. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

4. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
