ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to dispose the case in C.C. No. 756 of 2019 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is facing trial for the offence under Section 380 of IPC. He would further submit that based on a false complaint the petitioner was arraigned as accused No.1. He would further submit that the investigation has been completed in the year 2018 and the final report was filed only in the year 2019. He would further submit that right of speedy trial is a constitutional guarantee and would seek for a direction to dispose the case expeditiously.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that there are totally 10 witnesses and the trial Court has examined two witnesses so far.

4. Taking into consideration of the aforesaid submission, direction is issued to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Madurai to complete the trial, within a period of Six Months, from the next hearing date.
