O R D E R

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b) and 506(ii) IPC in Crime No.Not known of 2022 on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would submit that on the complaint given by one Rajendran, enquiry was conducted in C.S.R.No.629 of 2022 by the Devakottai Town Police Station.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondent police is harassing the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances, the respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry and if any prima facie case is made out against the petitioner, register the F.I.R or close the petition enquiry within a period of two weeks from today. CRL.O.P(MD)No.21381 of 2022 needless to say that the respondent police shall not take any coercive steps to secure the accused till the completion of enquiry on the complaint lodged by the de-facto complainant.
