Prayer:- Habeas Corpus Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to secure and produce the person or body or person of the petitioner's daughter M.Akshaya D/o. O R D E R
We had passed an order on 17.10.2025 closing the same since the respondents had taken steps to admit the child to Sri Kanyakumari Gurukulam Children's Home at Tirunelveli. Today, the proceedings of Child Welfare committee at Tirunelveli had been produced before us.
2. It is seen that the child had been admitted to Sri Kanyakumari Gurukulam Children's Home at Tirunelveli on 24.10.2025 and she will be there till she attains the age of 18 years. The bonafide certificate of the Superintendent of the said home has also been forwarded to us stating that she had been admitted to the said home.
3. We fervently hope for the good future for the young child. No further orders are required in this petition.
4. We record our deep appreciation to Mrs.S.Shanthi, Inspector of Police, Valliyur Police Station, Tirunelveli District, who had taken efforts to ensure that the child is admitted in Sri Kanyakumari Gurukulam Children's home at Tirunelveli and had also ensured that necessary orders of the Child Welfare Committee are passed that child is provided with education in the said home.
